Christian Louboutin claims that he will fight to protect his red soles from being “copied” by other shoe designers, especially those like YSL whose use of the color red on their shoe soles is almost identical to Louboutin’s, resulting in consumer confusion.  Louboutin would like YSL to pay $1M in damages and to stop using red on its soles.
